LS4 Oil Cooler Cover Gasket Kit

Factory LS engines feature cast aluminum oil pans with integrated filter housings and cooler ports. In some applications like trucks, the cooler ports are attached to hard line assemblies which run to an auxiliary cooler. However many applications such as the FWD LS4 cars do not utilize these ports found on the oil pan and in turn are capped.

The unused capped pressure ports are located directly above the oil filter housing on the LS4 pan. This has proven to be a common source of leaks over time. What is even more frustrating is that the bolt spacing on the cap is unique to the FWD V8 requiring a special gasket. Most local parts stores do not stock this gasket and to make things worse, most parts catalog systems interchange to the incorrect part number.
